Eleven-year-old David Wiseman is ecstatic when his new neighbors, the Samuels, build a cricket net in their backyard. However, many in the neighborhood are much less enthusiastic about sharing the neighborhood with the big-hearted Jamaican family.

Set in 1960’s South London, Wondrous Oblivion is set in a controversial, racially-charged neighborhood where the Wisemans, a traditional Jewish family, must decide whether to align with the rest of the neighborhood and turn their back on the Samuels, or follow their hearts and befriend their new neighbors.
